In alkaline aqueous solutions, ilmenite flotation recovery was improved slightly. The flotation behavior of ilmenite roasted at 750 °C is very similar to that of unroasted ilmenite. After the oxidation roasting at 950 °C, ilmenite floatability was improved slightly at pH values below 5 but it dropped significantly above this pH value. Fig. 2.
